1. What We Collect

When you use World Cup 2026 Predictor, we collect:

• Account info: name and email address (via Google Sign-In)
• Display name and avatar choice (you set these in the app)
• Your match predictions for the 104 World Cup 2026 matches
• Private league memberships (codes, names, scores)
• In-app purchase receipts (handled by RevenueCat + Google Play Billing)
• Device tokens for push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging)
• Crash reports and anonymous usage analytics (Firebase Crashlytics + Analytics)

2. What We Do NOT Collect

• Location data
• Contacts
• Photos, files, microphone, or camera input
• Browsing history outside the app
• Health, financial, or biometric data

3. How We Use Your Data

• To save and score your predictions across the tournament
• To compare your picks against friends in private leagues and the global leaderboard
• To send you match reminders and result push notifications
• To diagnose crashes and improve the app
• AI Match Insights (Pro Pack only): match context (team names, fixture data) is sent to Google Gemini to generate short text summaries. No personal data is sent to Gemini. Google does not retain this input for model training.

4. Where We Store Data

All data is stored in Firebase (Google Cloud), region europe-west2 (London, UK).

5. Who Sees Your Data

• You only. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.
• Friends in your private leagues see your display name, avatar, and the same prediction data you choose to share inside the app.
• Google processes Gemini AI requests but does not retain your data.
• RevenueCat handles subscription receipt validation and does not receive personal data beyond an anonymous user ID.

6. Third-Party Services

• Firebase (Google) — Auth, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Hosting, Cloud Messaging, Crashlytics, Analytics, Remote Config
• Google Sign-In — authentication only
• Google Gemini API — text generation for Match Insights (Pro Pack)
• RevenueCat — in-app purchase receipt verification
• The Odds API — bookmaker odds for AI predictions (no user data sent)
• API-Football — live match results (no user data sent)

7. Data Retention

Your data is kept as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, all data is permanently removed within 30 days.

8. Your Rights (GDPR / UK Data Protection Act)

You have the right to:

• Access your data (contact us)
• Delete your data (in-app: Profile → Delete account — or see Delete Your Account)
• Object to processing
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

9. Children

World Cup 2026 Predictor is intended for users 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

10. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS. Access is restricted by Firebase Security Rules — users can only read and write their own data.

11. No Gambling

This app does not involve real-money wagering, cash prizes, or bookmaker integration. Predictions are for entertainment and competitive comparison only.

12. Changes

We may update this policy. Significant changes will be communicated via the app or this page.
